Is having an SSL certificate affecting the loading speed of my website?

Having an SSL certificate on your website will allow you to access it securely over an HTTPS connection.

HTTPS now works with HTTP/2 which allows much faster connection for all modern web browsers, than the regular HTTP protocol. With this HTTPS functionality your website performance will only benefit from the SSL certificate.
